- Create Amazing Pieces of Art – As a member of the El Dorado County Minerals and Gem Society, you can use our Society’s Lapidary workshop to cut and polish rocks into amazing
works of art. - Learn a New Skill – We will teach and certify you with everything you need to know to use a variety of lapidary tools and machines. Lapidary artists and professional are there to lead each session
- We Have the Tools…You Bring the Creativity – Our workshop has a variety of saws and polishing machines so that you can cut and polish your rocks into amazing works of art.
Workshops are held two or three times a month to help participants learn to cut and polish their own rocks or slabs provided by the Society. Space may be limited; Society membership and a small materials/equipment fee is required. New workshop users are required to complete a short equipment-use and health and safety training program. RSVP may be required.
